Fish Hoek Beach

Long, walkable False Bay beach - dogs allowed on half of the beach

About

Fish Hoek Beach is a long, wide stretch of soft sand on the False Bay coast, known for its calm waters, mountain backdrop, and relaxed, family-friendly feel. It’s one of the best swimming beaches in the area, popular with locals for early-morning dips, long walks, and easy beach days. The promenade makes it ideal for strolling, and the gentle conditions are great for kids and less confident swimmers. Fish Hoek does have a designated dog-friendly section from the lighthouse toward Clovelly- this is the area where dogs can run free-running (off-leash).
