Woof Project Cape Town

A pop-up and central dog adoption initiative that brings rescue dogs to public locations to connect them with adopters and ultimately place them in forever homes.

About

WOOF Project is an adoption initiative run by the registered non-profit Oscars Arc that seeks to increase rescue dog adoption rates through creative outreach. It operates both from an adoption centre in central Cape Town and via pop-up installations at high-footfall locations like the V&A Waterfront or Nobel Square. Dogs from partner shelters are brought to these venues for meet-and-greet adoption opportunities. The initiative also encourages volunteering and donations to support rescue dog welfare and placements, and handles the adoption process including applications and home checks.
